Check the approach with Drive Kent
Kent's traffic-advisory page brings together the Drive Kent map, city traffic cameras and links to state and county road information. Review it before the move and again before departure, particularly if the route crosses a city boundary. Send any agreed approach change to the driver and the person opening the building, so the unloading plan still matches the arrival point.

Confirm any reserved curb space
Kent's engineering-permit guidance specifically includes restricting parking, oversized loads and proposed street or sidewalk closures in its street-use examples. If your move needs one of those arrangements, ask the city which review applies before promising a space to the driver. Building permission for an elevator or loading door does not itself authorize use of the public curb.

Check hill roads and the final block
Kent's winter plan prioritizes steep arterial roads before lower-priority routes and explains that narrow, parked-up residential streets can limit plow access. For a winter move, check both the hill or valley approach and the final block. Confirm who will clear the walking path at the property, and agree on a safer alternative if ice prevents the planned unloading route.
